On July 19th 2023 , the multilingual website of the Forbidden City Palace Museum- Beijing, China, People’s Republic of Chinawas officially released at the Digital Cultural Tourism Development Forum of the 2023 China Internet Civilization Conference! The website covers five languages: English, French, Russian, Japanese, and Spanish, and will meet the needs of audiences with different languages.

On November 25th, the exhibition ” A New Era of Prosperity : A Photographic Chronicle from ‘Cultural Heritage’ to ‘A Better Life’,” jointly organized by the Palace Museum and the Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum, opened simultaneously at the Yanxi Palace of the Palace Museum and the Jialetang Hall of the Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum.

 This exhibition, the first to use “photographic collaboration between historical and cultural heritage sites,” features over 200 carefully selected photographic works. Through a unique “mutual observation” perspective, it unfolds a visual dialogue, presenting the century-long evolution of Chinese official architecture and the contemporary vitality of cultural heritage intertwined with people’s lives.

 Based on the respective layouts of the two-story East Annex Hall of the Yanxi Palace and the main hall and east and west annex courtyards of the Jialetang Hall in the Prince Gong’s Mansion, the exhibition is divided into three thematic chapters, showcasing the architectural light and shadow through the changing seasons, from dawn to dusk, rain and snow, demonstrating how cultural heritage truly integrates into daily life. No advance reservation is required for this exhibition, which runs until February 24, 2026.
