上海之鱼 Shanghai Fish Lake or known as Jinhai Lake is located as is the core landscape lake in Fengxian New Town, Fengxian District , Shanghai China, People’s Republic of China , covering an area of 2.53 square kilometers. After completion, it will be the third largest artificial lake in Shanghai, second only to Dishui Lake. The Shanghai Fish (Jinhai Lake) Scenic Spot was designed by international planning and design master and chief designer of Dubai’s “Palm Island “, Larry Heber’s, using the method of earth sculpture to excavate an artificial lake in the shape of a goldfish. The average water depth is 3.5 meters, and the lake is shaped like a fish. The Jinhui Port and the Punan Canal constitute the peripheral water system, forming a circular waterway with the fish as the center. The project was completed in 2014. After completion, the Shanghai Fish (Jinhai Lake) water system connects the Huangpu River and the East China Sea , becoming the symbol of Fengxian District. Shanghai Metro Line 5 passes through Jinhai Lake. On December 30, 2018, Jinhaihu Station of Metro Line 5 was put into operation.
