Armageddon Auckland usually sits in Auckland once every year, now this year it sits twice a year for now, this year is one has been organised for during early of the year at Armageddon Manukau, south of Auckland.. As to the current one that’s been now it’s traditional sits on Labour weekend.. In between 21st to 24th October 2016… Also I’ve notice this year it’s been lighter judging from the number of people attending the final day on Monday and Friday that’s given…

Coplay this year, has been interesting having been to this year’s Armageddon Auckland of two days, Friday and Monday…  noting mostly of everyone of one them have been very awesomely brilliantly innovative to what they portraying there character’s story in.. Every single genre… Some of the cosplay was delicately handmade, some are very budget made but still looks great in innovation creatively.. this year it’s been a very diversity of mixture.. From Comic, gaming towards movies, to the classic television series likes of Manga, and anime, in the most recent have been Marvel,  DC Comics, also the CW Television defy to dare superheroes Tuesday, in mostly Star Wars is the winning providing  the abundances of  Harry Potter’s series Hogwarts students presiding over there chosen house robes,  what is interesting amazing that the cosplay community in New Zealand is awesome how they work in supporting, learning from each other..

AIR NEW ZEALAND #AirNZWOW | World of Wearable Arts – #WeTakeyouPlaces…. Dylan Mulder story…

 

As “The New Zealand World of Wearable Arts” in which was on between 22 September towards 8th October 2016… located at TSB Bank Arena, Queens Wharf, and Wellington in where the Wearable Art Awards are secondary held at previously it was held at Nelson then moved Onwardly Wellington..

The Wearable Arts Awards, is based on creatively, innovation, inspiration on Fashion on using materials that you take from various resources to construct a story of that creation in the various categories that presented in utilization of those materials and create a story/stories within the garment itself

There’s one industrial designer Dylan whom was approached by Air New Zealand...  To breaking those boundaries in creativity in traveling from places to places to find stories within those places, from Dunedin to in where he absorb the architecture in taking photography, scans of the Gothic nature of the place then processing the collection then bending it into the design process..  Then going towards New Plymouth where taking the inspiration of the nature of forestry environment… in where nature inspiration comes colours, the various nature textures into the Garment..  In where he takes the two dimensional scan then process creativity on technology to fashion into a garment………in which should be reveal in the Wearable Art Awards..

As processing that inspiration in creating, crafting in which he took most of the design process in using VR-Virtual reality, with 3D modelling processing those designs in which 3D printing most various components of the garment in which you can’t physical do by crafting with hands, as with the given material on hand like the fabrics of Air New Zealand black leather seating coverings in which he took indented out a Gothic patterns that go inspired by Dunedin Gothic style..

As the process take, place, shape tailoring to what Dylan Mulder designed tailor out to be in his Wellington design industrial studio, Studio 11, he assembles the wearable arts garment, in the very geared up city for the World of Wearable arts in creating his inspiration in which his journey has taken him in the garment is tailored, fitted on the model, and creating is shown to a mass of crowds, whom asking very curious question about in the WOWness Dylan’s inspiration to tailoredly worn is shown..

STAR WARS- THE FORCE AWAKENS- COSPLAY | PropShop- Poe Dameron X- Wing helmet……….

 

In most of the iconic pieces of costume wardrobe in the “Star Wars trilogies Sagas” there are many that  tell a story or stories behind the character, also it’s whether it’s a dress, or a Helmet that tell the story of  characters life…. In one of the pieces in The Force Awakens is the iconic Helmet of Resistance fighter pilot Poe Dameron’s X-wing helmet……..

One is the original from the film, used in the studio hero helmet in which was procured from the LucasFilms props warehouse, carefully handled, and then it gets scanned to duplicate its real dimensions onto computer for dismembering for its moving parts, so it can then be later process in getting industrially 3D printed…. Having it while printed, other back ground work is applied the preparation of the paint job, also the assorted Poe Dameron’s signature decals applied once assemble and applied with the signature hand crafted paint work from the “Propshop” whom applied the same high quality degree of studio movie craftsmanship……………

AFK | Wardrobe Cosplay- crafting the Worbla Armour….

 

Given that you love Felicia Day’s the guild, then “AFK” in which is the is the darker tones of that series, where it explores what happen if you’re pulled into your in game character-avatar and universe… in this the a group of misadventure group of gamers is formed whom woken up in there in game avatars whom explore the world also taken beyond their limits as they work together…

In this AFK is doing a series of how do’s on creating there wardrobe in creating the armor plating, adding the filigree detailing to the Worbla, where you get a sheet of embossed adhesive filigree on that section of armor.. where it’s glued then it’s dried,  spray painted on to give that metallic undertones then coat with other layers of paint with serval other metallic tones, then picking up the highlights on creating that part of armor ..
