On 10th February 2021 Wednesday  2021 China- People’s Republic of China, Beijing-  ushered in the first exhibition  of 2021…… is that  which is  the first exhibition of the Palace Museum New Year ” 吉祥如意 -The Palace Museum Collection Ruyi Exhibition” officially opened today! 160 sets are carefully selected from more than 2,000 ruyi handles in the Palace Museum. They are divided into five units: jade Ruyi, bamboo and wood Ruyi, metal Ruyi, Jiujiu Ruyi and other materials Ruyi, which fully reflect the rich materials and beautiful shapes of Ruyi in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Exquisite craftsmanship and many subjects. Wandering around in the exhibition hall, the room is full of wishful thinking; outside the exhibition hall, the Shenwu Gate overlooks the beautiful scenery and feels refreshed. This Spring Festival, come to the Forbidden City to see Ruyi and harvest a year of good luck! The exhibition will last until May 9. Ruyi jade is rich in materials, including white jade, sapphire, jasper, black jade, jade, etc., occupying the mainstream position in the Qing Dynasty Ruyi production. Zhicao-shaped is a common pattern of jade ruyi. During the year’s 2020, the second decade from the turn of the century in Beijing the Capital of China also the People’s Republic of China, in which is also the year of the rat, marking its six hundred years anniversary of the Forbidden city that marks the transitional point of in between the middle of the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644) transitionally from Nanjing to Beijing towards the Qing Dynasty (1636-1644-1911) …. The Imperial Palace seen so many countless seasonally transitional equinoxes but further its six hundred years is iconic, but it’s five hundred ninety nine years it marks it Autumn Equinox…. In which it only took twelve years to build the same of the Daming Palace of The Tang Dynasty Xian Imperial Capital only it was least twenty times larger……

On 10th February 2021 only a few days before the Chinese Lunar New Years in which happens to be on 12th February 2021in which is transitionally from the year of the Rat towards the year of the Ox.. In which the last few years the Forbidden city Palace City Museum management has been initiative in creating a Forbidden City Zero waste program on a massive scale…

 

As celebrating the year of the ox a special exhibition that’s collection from the Zero Waste Program in creating an impressive art work… In following Fu Niu farewells the old and celebrates the New Year, recreating old things to show new looks. In the “Forbidden City Zero Waste” garbage sorting campaign, the Palace Museum and @万科 少年基金 @韩美林艺术基金jointly launched the “Fu Niu Ci “Old”” waste recycling sculpture, displayed in the Cining Palace area. 92% of the material for the sculpture creation comes from waste classified by the Palace Museum, totalling 0.32 tons. After disinfection, trimming, polishing, and splicing, the waste is “turned into beauty”. Have you ever seen things that “turn waste into beauty” in your daily life? Everyone is welcome to share their findings in the comment area.
